Our Jack Russell Terrier, Emmie loves her new hoodie. But I'm very concerned about letting her go outside, after all this is Florida.

 



Sunday December 16

There isn't much to say that has not been said about the horendous events in Newtown Connecticut. Hopefully the people of this country will finally demand that our elected representatives develop a backbone and do what is right.

We were in need of a quiet evening at the beach.

 

 



 





Good blues on the Manatee River

 

Saturday December 1 was the first annual Bradenton Blues Festival . This was an excellent event, the venue on the Manatee river was perfect and the entire day went very smoothly, congratulations to the organizers.

 

 

All of these performers put on a great show. The first band we saw was an outfit called Southern Hospitality, which featured

We were back at Bradenton Beach for the sunset and there were quite a few people enjoying the evening.

This guy was having pretty good luck with his throw net.

 

 

There were quite a few birds hanging around looking for a free meal.

 

 





There was one kite surfer taking advantage of the almost perfect conditions.



 

There were a lot of people walking the beach enjoying the sunset.

 

 

 

 

  

And then as the sun set the moon appeared as it was setting.

 

 





All in all a beautiful evening.

 

 



Saturday September 29

We spent the day at the Sarasota Blues & Music Festival. The people that put on this event did a great job. I didn't know much about some of the performers, but came away impressed by all of them . If  you have an opportunity to see any of these people, check 'em out.

Tuesday July 10 - Red eyed frogs

I'm not sure what these frogs are, we just call them red eyed frogs. These two are in the blooms of the Spanish sword behind our house. These guys are about the size of the nail on my little finger.
