More photos from around the neighborhood. I just got a Canon EOS Rebel 3Ti and I am really enjoying learning how to use it.

Tomorrow is my birthday and the love of my life has baked me a cake. This is great, devils food, with pudding and chocolate chips. I love it.

August 18 - Sunset

Florida sunset photos are pretty much of a cliche, but when they look like this I can't resist.



August 17

Found these two tree frogs by our rear fence line. They are about the size of my little fingernail.

August 15

There is a lake down the road from where we live and there is an island in the middle of the lake. At dusk the island starts to fill up with the birds that roost there.

Got a couple more shots of the local wildlife in the backyard also.

August 14 - In the backyard

I received the Birthday gift of a Canon DSLR camera today and these photos are my first attempts with the new camera. So far I'm lovin' it.



At the beach

This is Bradenton Beach on Anna Maria Island a really great beach, in the foreground is a turtle nest, in the background are the dunes and sea oats planted to help prevent beach errosion.

More shore birds, a variety of sandpiper I think.
